CUR∆C∆O

The island we operate from, Curaçao, is a Dutch Caribbean island known for its beaches tucked into coves and its expansive coral reefs rich with marine life. The capital, Willemstad, has pastel-colored colonial architecture, floating Queen Emma Bridge and the sand-floored, 17th-century Mikvé Israel-Emanuel Synagogue. It’s also a gateway to western beaches like Blue Bay, where scuba divers can access a vertical coral wall from the shore.

Curaçao has a tropical savannah climate with a dry season from January to September and a wet season from October to December. Wet being a local shower from 1 hour the most and sun shining afterwards.Curaçao lies outside the hurricane belt, meaning that the show can go on even during hurricane season.

Curaçao has an open economy, with tourism, international trade, shipping services, refining, storage (oil and bunkering) and international financial services being the most important sectors. Curaçao's economy is well developed and supports a high standard of living, ranking 46th in the world in terms of GDP (PPP) per capita and 27th in the world in terms of nominal GDP per capita.

Curaçao is a polyglot society. The official languages are Dutch, Papiamentu, and English. Most of Curaçao's population is able to converse in at least two of the languages of Papiamentu, Dutch, English, and Spanish.
